by Leland B. Jacobs
I say to my legs,
"Legs," I say,
"Let's go out
To run and play."
So off we go,
My legs and I,
Skipping, romping,
Jumping high.
Then I say to my legs,
"Legs," I say,
"I'm much too tired
To run and play."
So legs and I
Toward home we go,
Walking, walking,
Slow, slow, slow.
